Easy Establishment
Turf Star® establishes quickly in both spring and fall, making it an excellent choice for new seedings or fall interseeding following summer stress.
For best results:
- Seed at 8 to 10 lbs. per 1,000 sq. ft.
- Interseed at 4 to 6 lbs. per 1,000 sq. ft. in cool-season regions.
- Overseed warm-season turf at 10 to 15 lbs. per 1,000 sq. ft.
- Plant seed ¼ to ½ inch deep.
- Keep the seedbed consistently moist throughout germination.
Under favorable conditions, germination typically begins within 5 to 7 days and is complete within approximately 14 days. While Turf Star® establishes rapidly, developing a mature, fully established stand may take several months to a year, depending on growing conditions and management.
