Hollywood™ is an elite seeded bermudagrass developed to deliver fine leaf texture, dark color, excellent density, and strong overall turf quality. Its appearance closely resembles elite vegetative bermudagrasses, while allowing turf managers to establish high-quality bermudagrass from seed. 

Hollywood was one of the top-rated seeded varieties in the 2007–2012 NTEP trials, rivaling the turf quality of Riviera and Princess 77. 

Bred for Improved Cold Tolerance

Hollywood™ was developed from genetically diverse clonal lines originating from collections made in Washington state and Georgia. Seven of those clones survived multiple winters in Northern Idaho, contributing to Hollywood™'s excellent cold tolerance.

Hollywood | Yellow Jacket^® is recommended for warm, humid and semiarid regions, including appropriate areas of the Transition Zone. Its combination of cold tolerance and warm-season performance expands the range where high-quality seeded bermudagrass can be considered.

Hollywood | Yellow Jacket^® is not recommended for putting greens. 

Establish Hollywood | Yellow Jacket^®

For best results, plant Hollywood | Yellow Jacket^® in full sun once soil temperatures reach 65°F or higher. Seed should be covered with no more than ¼ inch of soil and kept consistently moist with frequent, light irrigation during establishment. 

Seeding Rate: 2–3 lbs. per 1,000 sq. ft.
Recommended Mowing Height: 0.5–1 inch
Can Be Mowed Down To: 0.25 inch
